yes that's right, +- 0.16 V, which as you say is OK for a MAF measurement.
This started because the DVM in the picture showed 0.6 on a 999 scale, which is clearly not OK.

For testing this and most of the ECU sensors, those harbor freights are close enough.
I picked up this DVM at Lowes to carry in my car (if I forget my good one ).
This one works great for most testing & is cheap.

I followed the xdf thing and my bin says 0.01V already?

Red Dragun,
ODBI or ODBII??

You should be fine with the ECU settings, but what is the MAF voltage reading at idle & warm engine?

so is 1.14 volts acceptable for an n60 maf? thats what mines reading at this moment.

Sorry to bring this back. I have a b14 with an n62 maf, it has been working fine the past couple months. All voltages were within spec, until today. I tried to start it, and it wouldn't. The problem is it's only getting 7.5 volts to the 12v+ wire. All others are within spec still with the key only on. Car still won't start.

ANY IDEAS?

You can check a few things:
1. Verify the battery is good - 12 volts or better. Cold weather causes batteries to crap out.
2. Check the 12v wire for breaks or bad connection (green crap at terminal)
3. Do the MAF Ground mod ! If you have already, recheck the ground and make sure the new ground wire is cleanly connected to the Intake Mani.
4. Turn off everything: radio, amps, wipers, lights.. everything.
5. Remove anything installed within the last month.. Something New could be drawing down the amps while you're trying to start it...

If none of the above works, you may have starter, dizzy, ignition wires or alternator problems. Those would be checked next.

When was your last tuneup? Plugs, rotor, cap, gas filter, pcv, etc.
Put in any cheap gas lately?

Well the battery is reading about 11.5v
The connection seems strong, not corroded.
I have grounded it and get a good ground signal at the harness.
Everything was off.
I haven't installed anything in the past ~3 months. It was working great on tuesday after installing a different turbo.

Everything else seems to be working, there are no ecu codes. It has fuel and spark, new plugs, wires, capand rotor about a year old. It seems like it wants to, and acted like a bad maf when it first started. It was sputtering and not revving cleanly.

Do you know where the maf gets it's 12 volt source from? I'll start tracing it back.
Thanks for your help, I'll let you know if I find anything.

Its your battery or a disconnected/partially loose connection while installing the turbo.

I would would bet its one of the two..
The battery should show higher than 12v (mine is 13.8-14.2) and the turbo swap could throw a monkey wrench into everything..

Good luck..
