Thread: whats wrong with my consult?

hey,

been having a problem which seems impossible to solve, hoping you guys can help me.

i have a calum basic with consult cable output ecu on my vvl. i own a legal copy of nissan datascan that i used to datalog random stuff on my vvl.

problem is for the past 6months ive been unable to connect to consult using my serial cable and laptop from the calum ecu.

neither have i been able to connect via the consult port under the dash via an ebay consult reader, and my laptop.

which means overall i cant use my consult via any laptop for datalogging at all

things ive tried:
1) change calumecu to stock ecu and use consult reader = failure
2) change all serial cables = failure
3) change laptops = failure
4) checked all wires off loom for damaage and discontinuity = still not working!
5) try all consult software i can get my hands on = failure

also, what i wanna know is there a fuse that controls the consult port? or anything like that?

what could be the problem? i miss datalogging
