Car is too rich when cold (Calum RT)
When the car is cold, like in the mornings and so, I am getting ridiculously rich AFR's at idle, something like 11:1 or so, it barely idles and it dies if I quickly release the throttle at a stoplight. When it gets to the operating temperature it goes back to 14.7-15:1 and idles perfectly.

The question is, how or where can I adjust the fuel settings for cold starts on a Calum RT?

Thanks in advance...

Also curious.

Never had that problem, but there are tables marked cold start throttle enrichment and timing advance. Both can be adjusted to help since they are fairly steep when cold.

Ok this is what I found, what should I mess with?

PS: Yeah I know, i'm a calum n00b.

Well I think you found it.

How cold it is there?

I would start by halving all the values and seeing how it responds. There is alot of throttle enrichment for cold starts, but I have never seen it do what you are seeing.

Those tables are all in degrees. I am assuming they are timing advance tables.

That shouldn't affect your afr.

Maybe the problem is not the Calum RT ECU.

Have you verified that the IACV is functioning correctly? If it is not, idle will be erratic and stall-prone until the engine warms enough. Since the IACV allows bypass air to enter the intake (which would affect the A/R value), I would consider this a suspect until ruled out, otherwise you may be just masking the problem.

11:1 isnt rich for the car when it starts cold. Thats about where it normally is and then it drops down to stoich after it get warmer. I doubt its the ECU making your car run ****ty. Id check your coolant temp sensor.

They are miss labeled

55* of advance is not realistic.

This is true... Although I have never seen all the way down to 11:1, but that may just be temperature difference, or something else. 11:1 should run at idle.
