SAFC Neo Installed!
I don't know why I am posting really, just glad the install went all right. Just finished putting in an Innovate LC-1 wideband + gauge, and a new SAFC Neo. Haven't done any AFR tuning yet but everything seems to be working properly, so this is just my celebration rant, as I was a little nervous at first.

I love my NEO. I got it with future plans in mind seeing that one day I plan on getting a VVL head.

Yea, I got it just to tune the mostly stock DE just because it's interesting to me and it's my first time tuning. I've always been bothered by how slightly crappy my car runs, and I'm hoping this will aid in fixing that. Also it gives me the option to go to better injectors/fuel pump. I figure it's time for new ones soon anyways so they might as well be good, and getting that stuff is a good start on any future turbo.

I would LOVE to go full standalone but since I am a n00b and also broke, this was a better choice. Someday I will get the time and money to take advantage of one of those though.

When you installed your AFC, did you read the back of harness pins from right to left or left to right? I asked because I installed mine (I have a B14 SER) but I'm not sure if it was installed correctly. I looked at the FSM's view of the harness but I wasn't sure if the picture of the harness is a view of the front or back.

The picture in the manual is from the POV of the harness as it goes into the ECU (as if you were looking at the ECU pins) if that's what you are asking. I left mine plugged in the entire time and just counted the wires to find the right ones.

You said that you counted the pins while the harness was connected in the ECM. By count the pins, what do you mean? What I'm trying to say is do you count the pins from the back of the harness? In other words can you see the screw that goes into the ECM, which would mean that you're looking at the back of the harness and then counting that way?
