If you wanted diff't maps for the basic, then you can have the maps on other chips and swap the chips when you want to change - a PITA, but not a big deal if you know you are going to the track or filling up with 100 octane, etc.

If you want to swap programs almost instantly then the Calum basic isn't what you need.

yea, i have a basic already, i'm just now starting to mess with tuner pro, all kinds of questions about it though. Planning on getting a moates and burning chips myself.

calum basic holds one map http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/index.shtml had a daughterboard with the ability to hold four maps- they also had a device to switch from one map to the other. i no longer see it on the site, it seems more tuners are switching to realtime ecu's
