


What about idle? I can just make sure I'm at 15 on the main timing map at idle, to match ignition timing can't I?
I wont be on TPS CLOSED IDLE TIMING but that's not a big deal is it?? I'll just do what I said above^
The only thing you need to do is make sure that the ECU is actually sending out what you think it is. Some sort of timing lock mode is best for this, but if you're sure that the ECU is not trimming the timing in some way (idle control will do it unless you turn it off as you mentioned, the ignition table will bounce around unless you set a whole swath of it to one number temporarily).
