Examples he used shouldn't matter, users just need to understand that no output is superior to another. It's what you are willing to give up. I for one gave up EGR because it was useless to me until I started trying to get the evap system working properly, then I switched to AIV.

I will update it with the EGR and AIV outputs for the next version.

MOST of the people around here that do swaps in these cars do away with the A/C system all together. The car that I drew up this example for did NOT have an a/c system and just chose this output.

We will make sure the details are a bit more clear for future reference!

just to confirm the extra relays are no longer required, the solenoids can be run directly by the ecu on whichever pins I choose for the outputs?

yes, no relays needed and just choose from the outputs

won't this cause unessecary current draw through the ECU? or is it very minimal?

the ve ecu doesn't use relays to activate the solenoids so I dont think the current requirements are that high, as the ecu just switches the earth on and off.

thanks for the info, just wanted to be sure as this thread hasn't been updated with the new info

oh well, my relay wiring job looks really nice..

The draw through the ECU with the VVL solenoids is very low and all of the available ECU outputs can handle them without a relay!
