thanks for the info Dave, so I take it by the fact that you have fully identified what's in the 2n500 ecu bin that it is something you've been working on for a possible future release? or is it like others have said a dead duck ecu as far as tunercode/nemu is concerned? and I should just chuck it and spend out on a de ecu?

Supported ECUs are listed on the TunerCode.com About page. The 2N500 is an OBD2 ECU, which are not currently supported. If there is a conversion harness available to run a supported DE ECU, that would be the way to go.

Thanks,
Dave

I guess Dave or John would have the answers but I perceive that there are also some other ppl in the "know". So being that I would like to get one of these asap......

Is there another thread on these boards somewhere? I went to the moates website and I can preorder them now for release on halloween. So about $280 and $12~13 shipping.

Is there any sr20-forum specific place to buy them (discount/group buy) or all orders to go through moates.

Reading the description on moates the supported features are mostly features of tunercode. I have a few questions regarding the board:

1) Can I load any rom onto these boards? And use Tunerpro to tune?

2) What is the max rom size 32k 64k etc?

3) Are there dedicated configurable outputs on the board like the calum realtime ver2, I only see mention of 4 analog inputs.

4) If no in (3), does this mean that configurable outputs will only be supported by Tunercode or roms that have been modified thus and hence only supported by existing ECU hardware.

5) Is tunercode for these boards ready, I have the ver5 for the basic already is there anything in place for existing customers if there is a difference between tunercode for NEMU and basic boards?

6) I was able to glean that the nismotronic for the NEMU is different than the one for basic, I had never gotten the nismotronic though, is the pricing the same $50 for the NEMU version

I think that is it for now I almost bought it last night and then these questions popped up in my head so I figured better find out first.

I'll answer the first two, from information that can be found on this forum .

1.) You can only use TunerCode Bins for this board. For now you can use TunerPro to make tune adjustments, but only NismoTronic will talk to the board.

2.) The file size is 32k, aka 16 bit OBD1 only.

Yes, emulation wise, however data logging with TunerCodeV5 and TunerProRT is not supported without Nismotronic.

32k, however 64k boards are being developed.

There are 4 analog inputs, which are supported by Nismotronic for TunerCodeV5 data logging.

Yes, with TunerCodeV6 and Nismotronic.

John has a version of Nismotronic that supports TunerCodeV5 on NEMU. We hope to release TunerCodeV6 and Nismotronic support for it this year.

Details as to firmware (TunerCodeV5) and software (Nismotronic) support for NEMU features are still being worked out, however NEMU can be used as is for real time emulation with TunerProRT, just like a Calum RTv1. Data logging with TunerCodeV5 on MENU requires special support from Nismotronic.

Thanks,
Dave

There WILL be a for sale thread for these boards very soon as soon as all of the details are worked out. I will also be offering FREE installation of the boards into a supplied ECU when purchased from my website.

To get the full features of these boards (Logging/Onboard Logging/ADC Inputs) you must user NismoTronic and TunerCode.

2) What is the max rom size 32k 64k etc?

Right now the max supported rom size is 32K BUT the 48k and 64k roms have been added for some ECUs but WILL NOT be in the first release.

3) Are there dedicated configurable outputs on the board like the calum realtime ver2, I only see mention of 4 analog inputs.

There are 4 analog inputs, a 5 volt output a ground and a PMW output on the ECU. The rest of the outputs can be configured via TunerCode using any of the available outputs on your ECU.

4) If no in (3), does this mean that configurable outputs will only be supported by Tunercode or roms that have been modified thus and hence only supported by existing ECU hardware.

Yes.

5) Is tunercode for these boards ready, I have the ver5 for the basic already is there anything in place for existing customers if there is a difference between tunercode for NEMU and basic boards?

I will let Dave chime in on this one.

6) I was able to glean that the nismotronic for the NEMU is different than the one for basic, I had never gotten the nismotronic though, is the pricing the same $50 for the NEMU version

The price for the NEMU version of NismoTronic will be a slightly higher as it includes and WILL include all future updates to the program which will be pretty drastic in the near future.

Currently the new features include the ADC inputs, OnBoard logging configuration and downloading from the NEMU, seamless autoconnect for the NEMU, etc.[/QUOTE]

There WILL be a package price that will include the NEMU board, TunerCode Firmware and the NismoTronic software.. the $280 only covers the cost of the actual NEMU board and not the other features as of right now.

I will post a thread soon that will include all of the details, maybe even today if I get a chance. It will possibly include a pre-sale order form AND a break down of how things are going to work with the new boards!
