Thread: MAF->MAP conversion with Tunercode?

Are you saying Tunercode can be setup for coil over plug on a non 4 coil ecu? Or that it can be used on a 4 coil ecu?

He is saying that you would need to convert to a sr20det ecu which already has coil on plug capabilities.

Ah ok, as in a s15 ecu? I had already considered that for use on a p12 20v car, as they factory ecu is aparently not tunable, unless someone works out reflash. It would clearly need a cable throttle body to make it work, but not a huge job. I just need to talk one of my mates with p12 20v's to try it.

Im not entirely familiar with the s13 sr20det, is that multi coil too? as it see its listed for tunercode.

Not to threadjack or anything, I already have a zeitronix 5-bar map sensor, would the tunercode allow for diffrent map sensors fairly easily? Thanks for all the hard work Dave!! now I just need to find a calum RT ecu...

Yes, but which MAP sensor you use is really a PC-side issue. The ECU uses a 0-5V signal from whatever MAP sensor, so its up to the tuner on the PC side (Nismotronic, TunerProRT) to determine what those voltages mean.

I am going to allow a drop-down menu to change to the most common map sensor scaling very easily. It will also have an option to input a custom scaling and offset if you happen to have or want to use a map sensor that is not listed.

This should make integrating map sensors a breeze for the end user!
