Tunercode is the firmware that gets put on the ecu, this is the code that makes the ecu work and let's you have access to all of the features that are available.

NismoTronic is a software that allows you to edit the settings/tune in the ecu. It supports the tunercode firmware and allows you access to edit everything that tunercode has to offer.

I just purchased a b14 project car that I will be using for testiing the conversion hanress and the software. I am going to pick it up this week, after I start to feel better. I have had a fever for the past 4 days!

And to answer mojos question, nismotronic does not support the obd2 firmware and it more than likely never will. The suggested method is to just convert to obd1 and go from there.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was going to buy an ecu from the nismotronic site, as well as the software. So I should be set as soon as I get my harness. Thanks!

What year B14 did you find?

I found a 1996 that is pretty local to me.

It requires a good bit of work to get it up and streetable, but I am at least going to get it up and running to test the program within the month.

Great to hear. That 96 is just like my 95. But according to law, for emissions, they still would run the old sniffer test on my car despite the fact that it has a full OBD 2 system and port on the car. Pep Boys passed my car one year for inspection and they did not roll test or even hook a sniffer up to it. Yet, mechanics at my local dealership tell me they run the old sniffer test, no matter what.

All law aside. Congrats and I look forward to it. I have a VE that I need to swap into my 95 and am debating what road I am going to take for the ECU control. I want to use your ECU and the software you offer, but need to make it pass inspections with relative ease (by whatever means).

Thanks again, good luck.

Update 3/1/11

The new update is posted to the download section.

It is highly suggested that you use the Download link to update this version 1.3.0 since there are a couple changes on how it handles the MAF directory.

The new MAF layout is parsed into individual files, which are called ".VQD" files (VQ Data). All of the VQ data files will be placed into the MafData FOLDER, which replaced the original MafData File. You can still create new VQ tables and save them whenever you would like to use on other tune files, but this new setup allows easy portability between users.

This update also includes the gauge resize option using Shift + Arrow keys to expand/contract the size of the gauges. This allows for a fully customizable gauge layout.

I also added a vertical bar graph to the gauge styles.

I think that is about it!

I don't know all of the details, but pretty sure it was the typical .82 a/r exhaust housing.

It was right around 19psi logged through the dyno.
