It already does this on its own. It records and displays around 50 items on the data screens plus A/F logging. All of the gauges and graphs are both fully customizable to be able to display every logged item.

It has a playback button which updates graph values, gauge values and map tracing.

You can also use the mouse and keyboard's left/right arrows to scrub through the graph for manual playback.

I am going to put together a little screen capture video here in a few days showing how it will work.

And just to put this out there, I am not copying Nistune. The whole reason I created this software is because I didn't like the "feel" of nistune or TunerPro. Not to knock either of those programs as they are both very powerful tuning programs, I just felt I could make something that tailored to what I like to see in tuning programs.

So what I am doing is incorporating everything I like from ALL of the tuning programs that I have used. Hopefully the end product is something that will be versatile enough to cover everyone's tastes!

How could I forget about Map Tracing, please pretty please allow map tracing to be data logged and played back. I love the map tracing option on Nissan Data Scan, but when you have to do a screen-capturing video to data log options, you know the software is lacking .

Also for having a time line for the graphs, maybe having the ability to select a range and it will show you the length in seconds might be helpful. Say you do a few 0-60 runs on one data log, along with regular driving. To get an estimate you have to play and manually time the 0-60 times. Having the software do that automatically would be nice .

See above! The software already does this. It plays back the log and updates the map tracing, gauges, and graphs in real time when you replay the log!

I have had the map tracing/data playback working for a very long time. What I am doing now is making everything user definable so it can be more versatile.

I have a toolbar which displays the the current seconds of the current log. I will also be adding a "Zoom in/Zoom out" feature for the graphing. This way you can zoom in if the graph is long (over 2 minutes) and it will let you increase the resolution greatly.

I also have a "almost" complete DYNO capture feature which will allow you to do a run and enter the car and environment parameters. It will then calculate tq/hp from the Data Log when the TPS is > 90% and displays an estimated dyno curve.

I just have to add some smoothing to the raw data to help smooth the graph lines out a bit and it will be ready for more testing!

BTW the video can be played back at 1080p for the best viewing.

Very quick preview of the log playback. Don't mind the log seconds on the main toolbar, it was an older version of the log and I changed the way it records the time since then.

I will make a much much better quality video when I do the walk through videos, this will just give you guys an idea.

Yup I saw your text about map tracing and just wanted to confirm :-D

Got any screenshots of how map tracing looks and how it will look when you play it back? EDIT: I see you read my mind and posted it above .

With NDS map tracing is also only displays RPM and TP values but no other gauges. Nice to hear that you already accounted for that .

Sweet, saw the earlier comment on zoom, definitely a must. I usually have 10 minute runs, so navigation becomes more painful. Not unusual for me to manually "crop" the runs either ha.

DYNO feature sound good too, getting estimates correct can be rather painful though. But ballpark numbers can definitely help when your doing "small" changes.

What language is the software using, C++ or .net or something else?

The dyno feature is definitely hard to get setup sometimes, but when it works, it actually can be pretty close.

The program is written in RealBasic.

Lynch the Zt3 is just A/F while the ZT2 does the extra stuff like boost, egt and 0-5v stuff.
