Since I'm posting anyway. How does the stock VET placement compare to the stock GTi-R placement we all know so well? Just curious.
No turbo is water cooled (they are all oil cooled), so you never have to run water to them.
Many turbos are water jacketed so they need no cool-down time. The water prevents the oil from coking in the turbo after the engine shuts down. If you run the engine for a bit to cool the turbo you don't need to run water to it.

I swore the stock t25/t28's used a coolant and oil feed to the turbo. You can see the coolant lines and oil lines running right to the turbo.
If I were to go turbo I was going to use a bigger turbo for ease of use, like a Pte 6262 that only has 1 inlet (for oil) am I wrong?

Can I still retain A/C with this manifold? Where exactly would the external gate placement be with that option? I have been waiting for someone to make these instead of having to find someone locally to do it. Definitely interested for my ve'd b14 with a greddy 18g waiting to go in.

Re: VET stock placement T2 manifold
The turbo placement will be identical to my setup ..since I sent them my vet manifold to mock up..so the turbo fx j-pipe will fit with a det downpipe from vrs. The exhaust will be pushed up about an inch ..so you might have to adjust the hangers.
