Oh yeah, i have had both the aluminum low profile racing jack never a problem (stolen out of my yard) and now one of their heavy duty low profile jacks and no problem there either. Try stealing that jack easily out of my yard. That sucker is heavy

haha, just picked up the same jack ashton and yea, that thing is a beast.

This is the coolest thing I have bought to date from HF, the flame thrower/propane torch. Ive had it in use for over a year now.

Cons
I was kinda worried about it blowing up or something the first time I used it based on the rickety construction but no such problems yet. It just flames out easy on windy days.

Pros
Good for burning yard plants like weeds, lighting charcoal grills and smokers and melting snow smaller patches of ice in the winter. It should also make for a good large scale rosebud heating torch for preheating metal (ie cast iron) for welding and tube for bending purposes.

I got a Brake bleeder / vacuum pump from them that has served very well so far.. I have only used it for the vacuum but its excellent.

I got this soldering gun and just had to buy new tips from radioshack so they wouldn't melt lol but it heats up in just a few seconds which is awesome for someone as impatient as me...

I've had one of their 1/2" breaker bars for 4 years now, it has never broken on me yet, I've had 2 people jumping on it before, the bolt at the top has came loose before but loctite has fixed that

Aluminum Floor Jack - 1.5 Ton Aluminum Racing Jack

I thought I would post up a potential issue. My friend and I each bought one of these jacks a year or two ago and I have used mine quite a bit. He has hardly used his. The other day we were raising up his Leaf to rotate the tires when all of a sudden we heard this loud BANG. No clue what it was until we realized the tire was almost back on the ground. The seal had blown and it was leaking hydraulic fluid. We swapped out and used my jack (same model) and it had no problem. Glad we weren't under the car! That's why I will never work under a car unless it is on jack stands. Anyway, I wanted to report the failure here as an FYI.

^^ yeah exactly why you always have a jackstand under the car when working underneith. Its automotive 101 stuff. lol. Youd be a fool to trust a hydraulic jack to hold up a vehicle for lengthy periods of time. Thats not what they are meant to be used for.

Being present when a car fell on my friend I can say I never even put my hand under a car unless its on stands and passed the shake test (wheel chocks too). Luckily his head was in the only pocket on that side and he was bigger than me bc thats the only thing that saved him.

I've been using one for about 3 years, its moaned an groaned from day 1.. I suggest using loctite on ALL the little bolts!


I tried to find the exhaust pipe cutter my friend has on their site but I cant find it, maybe they stopped carring it or something, but this is what it looks like



works great on aluminum pipe, its ok on normal exhaust pipe but takes a while and will eventually wear out, but for the aluminum pipe it lasts for ever and is pretty quick!

Pass. Pittsburgh 1/2 torque wrench. I bought this while I couldn't get my hands on my fathers snap-on wrench. Feels great, has a very definite feel and solid click. Teeth are not fine but that is okay since it is a torque wrench, also very similar to my fathers old snap on unit. Have had it for about a year and used it quite frequently and everything has been dead on when compared to the snap on unit. Best 40 bucks spent. Pro; cheap, good feel, easy to adjust. cons; dont have any as of now.
