Been a while since I posted. Took my 3 week vacation, disappeared like a ghost.
Before I left made an exhaust with the tm-spl / ravspec crew for @itsdamayor's M37 the Friday before WekFest NJ. His OEM exhaust lost a battle to a manhole cover. We created the exhaust which was a full header back system with X-Pipe, as Y-Pipes looked horrid when we first started, add a misplaced order by our distributor of mufflers, hangers, and other materials. Running out to local speed shop, getting raped on cost of materials needed. (F*ck retail prices.)
Nearly 10hrs of cutting tacking welding straight. Burned 2 packs of smokes, 2 cases of RedBull, BurgerKing and Checkers.
Pictures we took dont do the exhaust justice. The sound of the exhaust especially being a VQ powered car is ungodly.
Everlast TIG185 Micro all footpedal, .040" 308 rod, 1/16" hybrid blue tungsten 19cfh, solarflux. MSC bandsaw, MSC bi-metal blade(s), MSC deburr tool, decarbonizer solution to clean pipes.
Started fabwork on a street fighter project for a customer late last week. Decided to try something different with his intercooler and piping. I flipped it upside down, inlet/ outlet are up top not traditionally on the bottom. We are using a vanjen clamp system in conjunction with Aluminum Vbands.
Everlast TIG AC mode, all pedal action, 3/32" Zirconiated tungsten, 4043 3/32" rod, 18cfh Ar.
Haven't upped the pipes I did the inside welds on yet, or intake manifold / throttle body mods yet.
While I was setup for Aluminum, customer dropped off a quickie elbow to weld on his compressor housing for his 2JZ+T project.
Ended my week with scavenge system mod on downpipe. If you dont know what its for, you are simply too young to know
