Thanks Doug, exactly, as long as the money is there, I will build the customer anything. The VRS piping is great, their SS is great along with the aluminized steel. Their flanges and hangers do tend to rust out easily, I usually will spray them down with high temp black spray.
I used .040 rods, and on some joints no rod at all, around flex section, and by the apexi muffler, I was able to control the pool with a swirling motion, and some manual foot pulse work. Din't back purge or use solarflux, I was helping another shop complete a few projects. As much as I can teach, they simply don't have the time to practice. Some of them have been frustrated on how hard it truly is, and how an experienced hand can weld so quickly. I told them speed will come, first be neat about it.
I may be coming up to RI for some diving around Newport in a few weeks, I'll give you a shout and do a welding geek-out.

but like you i dont care what im working on as long as the pay is right. haha
that vrs piping looks like pretty good stuff. i havent welded one those kits up yet but i have a customer coming in soon with one of those kits. so ill see how it is.
what filler rod do u use on your ss exhaust like 16 gauge stuff? i use .045 308l. i love it. only way to do it. 1/16" is just a tad too much it cools the puddle too much.
also do you use solar flux or backpurge at all?
ill be posting my stuff up soon.
just got a new camera and have been snapping hundreds of picks just need to get my shop PC hooked up.
