Does anyone have a 3m speedglas or used one before. I'm thinking about making the investment but I'm wondering if they're really all they're cracked up to be. I've been using the Tractor Supply auto darkening special and it's been working just fine although my eyes are pretty tired after several hours of welding.

Danny, formerly at GReddy East, now on Ken Gushi's Formula D, pit crew contacted me in regards to rebuilding the old GReddy EP3 from Si Challange. We ended up taking the motor out of the EP3 since it had some frame damage, possibly from some time between the Si Challenge and now. After a month search, we ended up putting the motor into a 04 RSX shell, upgrading turbo. The Si piping did not fit the RSX well at all and it was all mutilated from previous owner who had really abused the car. Decided to make new piping for it, wasn't too thrilled of making piping go under vehicle, and made it go over the transmission.

Next weekend finish up piping, intake and downpipe w/ 3" Ti-C muffler/ piping.

Our VE-T customer had a concern about an exhaust leak, and why does the car feel as if it's being choked up... I was initially requested to replace exhaust manifold gasket, didn't see any leaks, but once I started her up, it was apparent that something was definitely wrong. We had modified the original lobster tail the customer had bought, and upon removing it today, since we believe it to be a restriction, found it was cracked... all over the place. We had a T2 universal exhaust flange, and go to work shaping 3" piping, after 6 hrs of welding, realized I didnt have space to put the bolts in, lol. Chop it up and re-did most of it.

You can see where i had already welded vs new section I needed to make.

Eventually said fukkitol, make the downpipe one piece, and openned up pandora's box, will take pics of the aftermath of changing designs.
