Fix a hole of rust in your trunk!
I did not do this. My buddy aka my new fabricator did this for me.

I had a hole in my trunk from the wheel well all the way through to the trunk. Every time it rained more than a "drizzle" or "light spritz", my trunk turned into a mobile aquarium. I took everything out of the trunk save the spare and the jack Nissan supplies and would wipe its ass whenever it rained.

Needless to say, this was annoying.

1. Cut away the old, crusty, and rusted metal.

2. Bend a piece of sheet metal to desired hole.

3. Riveted the sheet metal to existing body and then welded it shut.

4. Seam sealed that part.

5. Used a can of rubberized undercoat to cover the metal and seam sealer.

6. Seam sealed around the rubberized undercoat.

7. DONE. No more water in my trunk.

The hole was cut out, new metal was welded and riveted in place. Than sealed. Than rubber coated and sealed around that.

Pretty damn permanent and 100% waterproof. It rained for the first time up here and I had the pleasure of driving home about 20 miles and usually my trunk would have water and the spare well would have a puddle. It is like the Sahara finally.
