I can sit here and tear this all apart but, honestly I don't have the energy at the moment to do so...... Now people want to know the future of the Convention.... Where the the hell was everyone when it was falling apart? Where was everyone when the few people who stepped up to the plate took a swing at it. There are a few of us that still give a shit about the Convention. Those people know who they are so no need to mention names.

People want this badass "road course" day yet they have trouble coming up with $200 to participate.... How much do some of you actually think the cost is? A broke ass community to come up with $10,000 is nearly impossible. I tip my hat off to Joe for making it happen but, what is not mentioned is the sleepless nights of hoping the people will come through and participate and pay $$$$$$$$$. Our community simply does not have the resources to pull this off without having to jump through major hoops..... In 2012 and 2014 I came out of pocket to make things happen. It simply fucking sucked! We are not the Porsche Club of America that has endless funds and members who dont hesitate to pay $500-$1000 for a track day.

Before you sideliners keep on complaining really sit back and think about it. Miracles are pulled off in order to make this shit happen and it kills me to see people complaining. These are the same people who come to Conventions and then go home complaining. If I told you the shit I was asked or told at the Conventions your heads would roll. I had a guy complain to me that he only ran his car 8 times at the drag day after he paid $15 fucking dollars!!

Well that's my vent. I am so done with the bullshit and the complaining.

Preach!

Does nobody really remember the begging needed to get people to sign up for the track day?

Wow. 8 times on the drag for $15. That's a steal.
I paid $20 and made five or so passes. And more than happy.

I will gladly spend $250-350 for a day in a road course. It is pricy but that's the going rate and I have a wonderful time doing so. The 2009 and 2013 conventions were beyond awesome and I enjoyed it.

You bring up great points. Many of the members may be broke and not have extra cash. Hell - these cars are upwards of 20 years old and were cheap when brand new.

I still believe piggybacking with another group for track day is the best way to "still include" a track day at a convention.

I ran 12 times for 8 bucks in Ohio. I'm upset I gonna ask Rob for my money back.
