buying this tomorrw..and my gps will also be on board..

I have the exact same one. It's not great. I use it on the back window and wedge it against the back seat. If its not wedged or braced, it will be very shaky.

But thats with an older Sony camcorder. It might be OK with one of these new bullet cameras.

If you do get it, get one on eBay, they're exactly the same, but almost half the cost:

I have the same type and it worked ok in vegas for a point and shoot (small) camera that also did video
