I'm bringing a spare open face that I think is an XL. It is a Snell 2000 Bell Mag-4.

I don't mind at all using someone else's helmet, I just don't want to grab a "hot helmet" that someone else JUST finished up using...

dried up sweat of someone else is nasty, but fresh sweat is something I just can't handle..

get a cheap headsock

i have some, for winter type stuff, but still with a headsock i don't wanna get into a "hot" helmet..

The extra helmet I'm bringing is my old helmet. Hasn't been used in a couple years. Should be plenty dry for ya

Same here. I haven't used the extra helmet for about a year. If anything, You'll have a variety to choose from out there.

I just saw this thread now and found alot of good info.

As for helmet preferences, I like full faced vs open.
Right now, I use a motorcycle helmet that is snell/DOT approved as I am only doing autox for now. Once my car is up again, I plan on getting a Simpson helmet. Also, IMO, if you have a fuel cell mounted in the trunk or somewhere inside the vehicle(not the OEM location) I'd recommend something that is fire retardent just in case....
