well from reading the link ben just posted a 2005 should be fine.

the old helmet i have is a few years old at best, no more then 5 years for sure. and its a dot approved helmet, its actually a full face now that i think of it.

ill check the rating and year etc and cross refrence it. better then spending 200 bucks for something i wont use that often.

Seems like the type of track that wouldn't be checking snail ratings on helmets but you never know.

Yes, a bunch of us went there 3 or 4 years in a row for Friday Fun Days, and like Rob said, it's definitely laid back, but it's been a while now, and things can change. So while I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they didn't check helmets, I don't want to be kept off the track in case they do.

How different are snail ratings from snell?
