^^^He should also ask if ride alongs will be allowed. Most track days I've been to ride alongs are not allowed unless the driver is an instructor. Also you will need a helmet for your passenger if you are allowed a ride along.
I know that ride alongs have been allowed at previous conventions, and I don't see any reason to change. I would suggest that newbies aren't allowed passengers until approved by their instructors.
