ATTENTION!!!
A couple of changes are required due to time constraints! If meeting at Cabela's to caravan to Lockhart then PLEASE give yourself enough time. WE NEED TO LEAVE CABELA'S PARKING LOT BY 11AM ! We are going to a place that serves excellent BBQ....problem is, it's no secret! There *will* be a line and a wait. Also, it's gonna take us an hour to get to K1 Speed from Lockhart. I actually have to be at K1 Speed no later than 2:40pm to "check in".

That is the main reason I switched BBQ venues...Lockhart is about 15 minutes closer to K1 Speed than Luling...and the BBQ is just as good.

Karting - We went with the Grand Prix package! It costs $60 and I have locked in the reservations at 3pm...which might be pushing it now that I think about it (at least for me).

There is a minimum of 8 people (max 12) required for the package/free room so let's start a head count.

It appears the biggest concern for a venue with swimming is - will it be hot enough?

...and on Sunday's at DriveWayAustin, it's "arrive and drive" for $25 from 12:30-5pm.

Not sure if you were planning/wanting to spend the night... I would think not as that's added cost.

I think K1 Speed might be more entertaining as a group. They also have the 'arrive and drive' but then there's THIS which comes in at ~$50 per person but includes a "14 Lap Qualifying Race and a 16 Lap Final Race. It also includes medals for the top 3 finishers, podium photo, and a score sheet with K1RS race performance details."

Also, I hear lots of peeps meet in the parking lot of K1 Speed on Saturday night, as well....but that's late night.

I guess it all depends on who all is actually going to show up.

Depending on exact dates I would probably spend the night just because.

Dates will depend on input. No input = no date = no meet....you know, kinda like it always turns out.

I'm focusing on the future...nuff said.

Why don't we try for the K1 karts, grub then everyone can get back home at a decent hour?
