Uncle Daves SW/WC housewarming party:
Yes, yes, the time has finally arrived. The time for me to open the doors of my home to my friends, acquaintances, and the people on here that share the same hobby that I do. Festivities will basically be Saturday afternoon, evening on into Sunday. My house has a pool so bring a swim suit. I will provide food and do the cooking. For those that will attend, prepare for very good food. Guests should bring beverages. I do have a keg machine, that's a possibility but someone, maybe Jon (cavern) will have to coordinate that.
The menu will consist of 2 day slow cooked pulled pork sandwiches, meatballs with an adobo chipotle glaze, burgers, dogs, my infamous homemade salsa, chips, veggies, typical BBQ food. I'll probably do a strawberry trifle for desert depending on time constraints & guest #s along with some cookies/brownies.
Now, I have a feeling that this is gonna be a big one. That being said I bet some Cali folks may wanna make the trip. I dont mind a few folks racking out here Saturday night just bring a sleeping bag/pillow. 3000 sq ft with lots of floor space for ya.
The party is the 28th of June and you know how it goes so I'm sure it will roll into the 29th. I live in a Golf community with an HOA so we may have to park in the lot by the clubhouse and shuttle folks but thats only 2 minutes from my house. Just think of the photo-op with 30-40 SR cars in that lot.
Chances are my kids are gonna be here so it's cool to have fun, lots of fun but not out of hand.
Families are welcome of course, if you want the kids to swim I'll ask that ya keep an eye on them & bring towels/suits of course.
Also for those that wish to attend if you can or have the availability to bring yourself a folding chair or two that would be steller.
So far I know Ashton will be here with his wifey & daughter. Possibly 3 other guys he knows.
