Thread: Passed Austin inspection!!

I passed inspection with my avenir motor! The limit is 200ppm(HC) I passed by 216 after I opened up the iacv screw.

So another turbo b14 on the road

I got my alignment done also and the tech said, "On the road test it would pull to the right when I accelerated" I laughed at the tech not recognizing the torque steer

Um, if he doesn't know about torque steer he doesn't need to be doing alignments. Good to hear everything's "legal" now.

you would be surprised how many people would not recognize torque steer and wheel hop...

I got a good laugh out of it. I watched the inspection closely and basically anyone could do it. All they do is what the machine says to do.

I thought it was actually something that the tech needed to really be involved to do.

I wish My VE would pass Austin inspection

Congrats! TX is one of the easiest states to pass emissions in, btw. It's not regulated like here in MD

In San Antonio they don't test anything but the basics lights,horn,wipers.no hoods opened or test drives lol

I was gonna go to SA next if I failed here in Austin haha
