I have never used a tq wrench in the 20+ times that I have had to pull and reinstall cams. You just gotta have the right touch

alright are you guys sure...i don't wanna have any problems on the way home it a little drive. Is there any basic hand tools that i need to bring. Anyone have a timing light? i would also like to advance my timing to 17 degrees.

We can use a tq wrench if you prefer, it's your car. I have a timing light too.

alright well if i don't feel like paying the money to get it done, i'll for sure bring em up there and will bring a vc gasket as well. I just won't have the time to be stranded and i can't afford any more issues i have just spent 800 bucks on maint. plus the cams that's why i was thinking if someone wanted to help do a little wrenching i could use it to save the 200 bucks. thanks

Cams are an easy task, and very difficult to fudge, if the installer has done ONE set before. They're not like doing springs and retainers, where you have to ensure that the keepers are in identical positions that they were in, previously.

The only concern is cam caps, which isn't a big deal either.

ok...well for sure since this is gonna go down. We need to get full list and get the people together anyone else interested in the dyno lets get that figured out as well so we can find a good dyno down there to get a group rate. Of course im here in the Oklahoma but im counting on this I wanna see a good turnout. thanks guys
