Thread: Auto Glass Replacement?

Anyone know a cheap place to get a drivers side window for a b13 Sentra in Austin?

Mine was broken last night when someone broke into my car
I was planning on calling around to all the junkyards and getting a few quotes from auto glass shops but Im wondering where the cheapest place would be?

i live in houston i can ask one of my vendors here how much a window would cost me shipped to austin ... all u got to pay is the price of the glass and shipping

Thanks but sorry I got it today and fixed it myself in about 10 mins. Saved myself $150! I searched around on car-part.com and found one in south Austin for $45....they did have the wrong window ready when I got there though lmao. I checked ebay and they had them for about $25 but I figured with shipping added it would probably come out to the same price I payed.

I have to stoop to www.car-part.com to get glass for a 2-door B13. For a 4-door it should be a lot easier.

Yea its no fun at all having your car broken into. It happened 2 nights in a row. The funny thing is my apartment complex got the gate working again the night my car was broken into! But I just decided to get a garage here. Yeah, I have to pay extra for it but at least I wont have to worry about my car. I got the window from a 91 Sentra and it worked just fine, took me about 10 mins to put it in and vacuum all the glass out of the door. The best thing I ever did was to disable the trunk release lever inside the car. They pulled up the backseat trying to get into the trunk but luckily they didnt because I had a lot of my stuff back there.

Gates at apartment complexes are for reducing traffic flow not security .Thats what I was told after my car got broken in to.Funny thing is when I signed the lease it was a security gate.

Yeah, apartments complex's are full of bs I'm finding out. It seems justified to me for them to pay for damages and give me the garage for free but they dont work like that. They did agree to give me the garage at a discounted price though so thats good.
