possible move to tx area
wel i have been debating about moving to TX...but before i make such a huge move and take my family about 2/3s the way accross the country, what is the area like-i live in the city and absolutely hate it. I want my neighbor to live more than arms reach away from me...thing is i don't have any family or know anyone or where anything is

ive been looking at the amarillo area, anyone from around there, any local drag strips(1/4 mile), how far of a drive are they, dyno's, shops, hot spots etc etc

amarillo is pretty far away from me but it seems to be a smaller city than dallas maybe.

and it also north as well. move to the dfw area and you have decent group that can help you with almost anything.

Amarillo is a ****hole IMO, I was just there for 3 weeks for work and I was ITCHING to get out. DFW would be a great choice, there are plenty of places outside the major cities(Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth) that are semi secluded.

You could try suburbs around San Antonio or Austin. Seguin, New Braunfels, Schertz are around SA. Around Austin try Pflugerville, Leander, Marble Falls. Theyre all out of town but if you need something the city is about 20 mins away. Saan Macos has a bad ass racetrack, SA has a dragstrip (river city raceway)

50 or 5 acres? ****, just for 50Acres will hit you with at least 300K.

And the smell of the cattle ranches will get to you. I know it did to me when I drove thru there on I-40.
