I wonder what it's like to actually "finish" a car. I've been trying to finish this car since 2011. Finally back in Huntsville, AL.

HW129 (Deal's Gap) is an amazing road... 318 turns in 11 miles. There are many other great roads in the area as well. Many clubs including the Miata and VW owners groups that I belong to have been holding annual/bi-annual events there for years.

gregman, you may want to consider asking a mod to move this thread to one of the main forums once plans firm up a bit. You probably would get people from outside the South East forum who would be interested in attending... at least, I know in the other two clubs I belong to, we have a strong showing each year from Florida and the Mid-Atlantic/North East as well as a few from the central and western parts of the US.

im still way down.. car should be together by the end of august. just hoping shes all good to cruise 4 hours there!!! some of my local non sr buddys wanted to plan a trip. but i figured id just have em cruise down when this goes down!

I'm thinking we should do this towards the end of October like the w/e of the 25th? This way the summer crowds will be gone, hotels will be cheaper and the leaves will be changing colors. Just a thought....
I just want to start planning this now and get it set so I can plan.
