The guy in NC just dropped from 4500 to 3500 in a matter of days. I too noticed that rubber shifter boot and wondered..... Seems every time I have money and am ready to buy a SR20 car, there are none within 50 miles of Raleigh that meet what I'm looking for. I found a 01 Sentra SE PP car, but it's in Chesapeake VA and I learned long ago, driving hours to go "look" at a car is usually a wasted gamble. I've also bought cars sight unseen and was screwed every time. It wouldn't be so bad if I weren't married with kids.....

Some of the original 1991 SER's had rubber boots. That's how you know you are getting a really early car. Could be a conversion too, but most of the 1991's I looked at new on lots all had rubber boots.

Anybody have too much time on their hands and want to tackle this one?

True about the early '91's and the rubber shift boots. I've seen a photo of one a friend of mine took. I hate the rubber boots however, there is sort of a coolness factor there that can't be denied.
