_

We got a small fire pit for Christmas a while back. When the weather got even the least bit nippy we fired it up.

Oh, and any time you're doing a fire outside, it calls for huge, comfy sweatshirts and preferably pajamas.

Katie made some s'mores.

I am not a s'more kind of guy, so I cooked some meat sticks. I guess I am a meat stick kind of guy.

I like fire.

Mini update.

On a whim I accepted an invitation from a good friend to take a motorcycle driver's class and got my license. Oh snap!

Another mini update.

The grass I planted in the front yard is sort of working out, sort of not. Whatever, I'll deal with it later.

We touched up the division between our driveway and the neighbor's driveway with some plants and mulch, and straightened out the bricks. It's at least better than it was before.

More minor stuff happening.

The futon is serving as seating in the sun room now.

I finally decided I wasn't going to get doors on the garage any time soon, but since it is behind the gate I felt sort of safe enough to put tools and stuff in the garage. Really, all that stuff had to get out of the house, so I've put things in the garage. After loading it up with all the tools and fluids and paints and whatever in an organized way I cleaned the garage up and two cars could fit inside with everything else in there.

I know the pictures don't show it clean. This was only the first day of moving stuff out to the garage and figuring out the organization. I have pics of it much cleaner that I will post later on. I knew I'd want "before" pictures so I took these.

(Pictures of the sister are on hold right now because really there aren't any good ones to post anymore.)

Filling up the cabinets... Things always get messier before they get cleaner. The bike needs to move too obviously.
