In order to pass the safety tech inspection you need to have all four good wheel bearings, you battery tied down correctly, your interior clean of any loose items, and no driver side floor mat. But you can take care of the last 2 at the event before or after tech.
If you know anything about SCCA Solo II classing your car would normally be in SM (street mod), which means basically anything goes as long as the engine is from the same manufacturer. Our region created a class that follow the same rules except the street touring tires rules apply. The rules are similar to SM. The only difference is you must run street tires. That's what your car would be in. It has become QUITE competitive here. A lot of times FTD comes form that class. Your car should do well in that class if you have some good tires, considering everything you have done to the SE-R.
