Thread: Columbus GA

Can anybody tell me anything about the town/area? What is there to do and to go and how the schools are? Is it a podunk town or a fairly good size place with potentiall? Might have a chance to move there. A chance. I've checked it all out online but hearing from others would help. Thanks

i passed dropped a couple trailers there one day and made a delivery on the way back home. it seemed like any other small- mid sized town.

A big downside is that you'd be fairly close to the rowdy ne'erdowells up around gawdawfulanta :-).
Columbus State - part of the Georgia University System, okay; tech school there also, no data on it; three choices of public school districts depending on where you park, Muscogee county schools (Columbus) will likely vary depending on how much money you have for a house, just like everywhere else; test scores mostly tell you how much mom and dad make, but go to http://www.gaosa.org/score.aspx and poke around and you can at least get those for muscogee and russel county schools. The Phenix system hasn't been separately listed in the state system. Holler if I can help.
