Thread: ATL's DIRTY SOUTH DYNO DAY

Ok kiddies, I know I haven't posted much on this forum in a while cause I've been stuck on G20.net, but it doesn't mean I gots no love for my SR20 family. So I'm here to give you guys the heads up for an upcoming dyno day hopefully around Feb. 1st. Come one come all, this dyno isn't exclusive to SR20's, so all you Honduh, Toy-ota, and whoever else can definitely come join the fun and see how much those mods your car's been pimpin you for have paid off.

I'll be setting the official post by next week hopefully, so anyone here thats reading this that wants to come through, by all means start the rollcall here so I can get a rough idea of how many peeps coming through. Finish those last minute mods/projects and get the word out!

Pending the date vs my work schedule, I'll be there with both NXs. And with a couple of breaks maybe I'll have the SE-R running by then too.

I've got an update on the dyno, its gonna be tricky.....here goes....

Talked to Eli the other day and he said this: To guarantee the date of Feb 1st, we'd have to give him a deposit of $150 upfront, and as far as for the whole day, he'd like to walk away with $600 in his pocket....which includes the $150 deposit....which means, he'd better make an additional $450 for the day.

Now, he mentioned that we can dyno UNLIMITED runs and Air to Fuel ratios for around 6-7hours; something like 12pm-6pm-ish. So anyone that comes to dyno can dyno their engines to death if they like, just as long as the same thing goes for everyone else within that 6-7hr timeblock we'll have it for.

Now, for the money part.......I'm not gonna pay out of pocket for this dyno day, Im not rich like that.....yet, so for now, I've calculated that if we get a minimum of 12 peeps, paying $50 up front right now, it guarantees Eli's $600 for the day. If more than 12 peeps show up.....the price will drop to divide evenly amongst the "extras" that show up...which means, peeps that already gave in $50, will receive some money back due to the more peeps coming through.

From a business point of view, I could make money off of this, but I'm not, I just wanna see as many peeps there so we can drop that price down to maybe $10 per person and also I can set up a better form of contacting everyone for the next dynos. I'll be collecting, money, phone numbers and email addresses of everyone to get the word out better.

You might wanna talk to Terrance and RJ because I know they been wanting to do a shop Dyno Day which I would think it could be more fun.

The unlimited dyno runs its ok but I would think it could be boring cause honestly I don't want to sit for 1 hour to wait for someone to tune their car. We should do like always 3 runs get out of the way for the next person!!!

^I think that would be a concern for me as well.

Damn, I'll still be on the Ice. I wish it was near the end of the month.
