My friend and I were planning on leaving town for Savannah on Thursday, I hope to get there around 6, so probably leaving around 3:30. I could haul ass and get there sooner but the cops have gotten bad on 95, and tickets are FTL.

I'm thinking the caravan should leave Thursday evening after 5 pm.. This way most people don't have to take Thursday off of work.
It looks like it should take about 2 and a half hours to reach Savannah from Columbia.

I say we agree on a meeting place, all get there by 6:30 pm. and arrive in Savannah around 9:00 pm. (I'm assuming we will have no trouble checking in the hotel at this time.)

Let me know what you think, and tell me if you want to be added to the list.
I'll probably get together phone numbers from everyone who's on the list at some point so we can make sure we don't leave anyone behind.

How do you feel about leaving at 6:30 and getting to Savannah at 9:00 pm. instead?

As for meeting up with those from up North (Raleigh, NC and Richmond, VA) how about Exit 82 on I-95 (next exit after junction/cloverleaf with I-26 in SC) at 7:15pm?

Those coming from Charlotte, NC should go through Columbia and meet up with us there at 6:30 pm. I figure. Still need to pick a meeting spot in Columbia.
If these times don't work for people, we can move them later. As for doing things earlier... That's a possibility too but it seems like a good idea to keep things at late as possible so people can finish work on Thursday.

I could do that. Depending on the number of people meeting in town, I'll offer my mom's place up as a meeting spot. Plenty of parking, plus the shop with all of my tools if anyone needs a last minute fix/check. Its right off I-77 on the SE side of town.
