Thread: Nismotronic SA crashing

For the most part, everything is working well. I only have issues when I go to save my second log. To elaborate, I do a 3rd gear pull, stop the car, save the log, make any adjustments that need to be made, then start another pull. Upon stopping and saving the second log, the software freezes and I get a popup saying nismotronic needs to close. Anyone else having this problem?

Are you turning off the ignition? I have had an issue if i shut the car off before i save the log.

Does it generate a runtimeerror report file in the NismoTronic folder?

I have had a few people tell me about similar issues, but I have found it nearly impossible to replicate which make it very hard to diagnose the actual issue.

Is it labeled as runtimeerror? Nothing showing up in any of the files.

I think I might have found the issue actually, I hope to have an update later this week when I get some time to make the changes necessary and test!

I'm not sure if its related to the issue I was having the other day, currently I cannot save a single log without the program crashing. I am going to switch to a different laptop and will update you in the days following.

My laptop goes through spurts of not wanting to save logs but lately its been fine..

Do you mind if I remote into your laptop and I can actually see this happen?

Honestly, I can't get mine to crash and without seeing the cause it is very difficult to know what is causing the program to crash.

Sure, i'll be home around 6pm EST. Can I give you a call then? I have two laptops running Nismotronic currently, iv'e been waiting on this rain to quit to try out the new one.

I have a feeling though that this is something laptop related and not software related. The laptop that I had been having issues with is loaded to the brim with all my movies, games, school work, work work... My other one has a fresh OS install and the bare minimum installed.
