Thread: Can't post in chat after recent update.

It seems there is an issue with chat after some recent updates. Specifically, @lynchfourtwenty can't post to chat at all right now, and he's probably not the only one.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this quickly.

This issue was first reported over in the psuedo-changelog thread but we are continuing here as to not clutter up that thread.

yeah it was working fine but not now, i refreshed and i logged out an back in.. lemme test my phone..

I assume chat is still not working. I will look through the code tomorrow to see what it could be. In the meantime if you'd like, maybe you could let me know which browser and version you're using. And are you familiar with the browser dev tools display (usually F12 on a desktop keyboard)? If so, can you post any JS console tab and/or Network tab errors if you see any?

im using chrome on both phone and pc, im not very savvy with that stuff tho

That looks to be exactly the information I needed. Thank you! It seems Chrome is more strict about how this works than other browsers. I expect to get this fixed ASAP tomorrow morning. (I'd fix it right now but our 18-month-old is sleeping in the office these days.)
Sorry for all the trouble to those using Chromium and it's derivatives (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave, etc.).

I'm working on this now. I'm using a proxy to test with Chrome and their free "plan" is so annoying.
