I'm good now, all of my devices are connecting successfully. The tablet was definitely connecting, not cached. All of the posts I made to this thread were either from the tablet, or the laptop I connected via my cell phone 4G hotspot.

So it's still a mystery.

That's interesting, especially regarding your tablet. Makes me wonder what was different.

So, I'm actually a network engineer with 1&1, the hosting company of the site. I work at the datacenter and have walked by the server a few times I was notified of this issue on Friday. It was only a problem with Verizon customers. All traces would come back fine from Verizon customers, but they'd have problems connecting with TCP/UDP.

I contacted Verizon and they couldn't find any issues. I also contacted one of our transit providers and they couldn't find any issues. Last night around 10pm CST when I noticed this issue still going on, I switched the transit provider we use to reach Verizon. I'm not sure if this solved it or if Verizon fixed something on their side.

Good to hear it's working again though...your tablet situation may have the answer. Wonder what was different there.

Very interesting, thanks for bringing it to Verizon's attention. It may have lit a fire under someone's ass, and resolved it.

One idea I had as to why maybe your tablet was connecting to the site was because it may have been running IPv6, but the server doesn't have IPv6 enabled so I'm not sure why the tablet was able to connect.

Also, just to be clear, this wasn't an issue just w/this site. It was affecting all sites/services at the company.
