Thread: Searching and how hard it is here

Agreed searching here sucks! I gave up a few weeks ago when I was trying to find out how to identify JWT S4 cams with a micrometer.

there are still people using the built in search? I haven't used it in a few years since I found out about Google site search. Just type into google:

I understand those who want the search here to work well. If I had to go to a different search engine every time I wanted to find something here I wouldn't search for anything really. If there are ways I can make it better, I will.

For now at least, three letter and two letter words (and one letter words) are not going to work. It sounds like getting them to work would solve the issue. If that can be changed at some point we will work toward it.

In the mean time I will post the current whitelisted 3 and 2 letter words I talked about, see if we can expand the list, and test it to see if it's actually working.

I tried two series of 3-2-1 letter words and one series of 1-2-3 letter words which yielded absolutely NO results, which I find highly suspect! For the first two series, I tried a 3 letter, 2 letter, and a 1 letter word phrase and for the second, I switched things around and tried a 1 letter, 2 letter, 3 letter word series.

If you would like to confirm this, the first and second series are as follows:

First series Second series
1. BEN-EF-U U-DO-BEN!
2. EFF-EW-B

Because the alcohol in his brain thought this was hilarious. As I was online last night when he made this post and he was quite amused by it.

Disturbingly, there was no alcohol or drugs in my system at the time...a rare moment indeed. I blame this research project.
