Thread: User info section getting trimmed down.

I'm trying to get through the backlog of issues with the forum. Some of the issues are described in threads in this Server News section, and some issues are covered in the moderator's section which I apologize for. This was one of the issues discussed in the moderator's section that I'm fixing. It's an issue with lots of little parts. We're going to try to get the user info section (where the avatar is displayed) cleaned up a good bit so it takes up a lot less vertical space.

One of the first tasks for this is to get rid of the user rank images.

These user rank images will no longer appear under usernames:








Banned users will still have this image displayed below their user name:






In trying to streamline the user info display area, this is one of the items that is redundant. The user rank is already distinguished by the color of the username.

Edit: It's possible the user rank images will return, but with smaller images. If you feel strongly one way or the other about the user rank images, let us know.

Continuing in the quest to get the user info section cleaned up, I was able to consolidate the user info below the avatar this morning.

I've moved the iTrader rating to the main info "tab". I've removed all of the other "tabs". (Which means to find recent activity info you'll have to visit the member's profile page, and it will no longer be easy to find exact "likes" statistics on a user.) I still need to figure out how to get rid of the single "tab" dot that is left. This actually might be a lot harder than you'd think. I might have to uninstall a forum addon.

I put the data itself on the same line as the label text.

I've made the font size smaller too. I still have a lot of work to do, but at least the iTrader rating is easy to find now, and everything takes up a lot less space!

Next up will be getting rid of the IM client icons and moving everything up closer to the top if I can.

There was a long-standing issue with the iTrader feedback displayed in the user info section when viewing from a Private Message. The score would not link to the iTrader feedback section like it does for normal posts.

That has been fixed now.
