Cache/cookies/computer gets cleaned daily (as it always did), so that is not the issue. I also tried using IE browser (yuck) and had no better success.
Update:
I am also now using a new computer and I get the same results with two different browsers.

I haven't received any notifications from the forum in months. Unfortunately, I have gotten quite used to this and (along with other factors) it has helped to shape my level of interest in the forum. I used to log in every day and now I seem to log in every two weeks or so. I do still browse as a guest on occassion but not nearly at the same rate. I considered myself a
regular and while I still have interest in these cars and engines, it has become increasingly easier to be complacent when it comes to this forum and participating in all that it has to offer. I wonder how many
non-regular members have had the same issue with notifications and then inturn, their level of interst in this forum had dropped as well. I hope for the sake of the forum this does not become an epidemic. Membership and the forum subscriptions that often follow are sorely needed around here.
When we have an engine failure or similar, we can almost always look back in hindsight and see the reasons for the failure. There are usually signs along the way that we ignored. Often times we didn't look hard enough and just failed to see what was right in front of us. Whether we re-used a head gasket or failed to resurface a head, saved costs by installing our old oil pump or just decided to street tune our $6K build. Sometimes it was engine assembly with too many beers in our stomache. Maybe it was that time we red-lined the engine on the way home from work with oil levels that barely registered on the dipstick. Regardless of the end result of any of our actions (or lack thereof), we can almost always see things coming if we look hard enough. Hopefully the last few months of server issues (and the lack of a resolution) are not signs of the inevitable...
I do enjoy this forum and would like to do so for a long time.
....just some thoughts.
Cheers!
