Forcing new members may do nothing other than making them aware of the resource before they start their journey here. Whether or not it actually helps any, who knows? Maybe time would tell.

I understand that some members basically refuse to search and learn for themselves but I can't even begin to count the numbers of times I have directed people to the Manifesto or FSM listing or otherwise. The most important all-encompassing forum resource should hit you smack-dab in the third eye when you view the cover page.

That being said, I do find myself looking for it very often, and it does take a while to click a few links to eventually get to it. I think the Manifesto/FAQ link would slot in quite nicely next to the lime green Forum Rules.
