I don't think you can build sections in the moshpit. Well, you can, but no one has to follow the section topics if they don't want to.

So you moved threads from the moshpit (where anything goes pretty much) to Off Topic? That's wrong in so many ways. Maybe the OP wanted mudslinging and nudity with their politics? But for whatever reason, they put the threads in the moshpit, which means they STAY in the moshpit. There's little-to-no moderation supposed to take place there, and livelier discussion to be had. You've ruined the intentions by putting them in Off Topic. If they wanted a civil conversation, they'd have made the thread in Off Topic to begin with? Or ask for it to be moved...

Those threads where put there because we never ever ever had a politics subsection, thus they fell under a catch all section.

How much moderation do we actually do in off topic? We rarely ever say no you can't post something (excluding illegal content, or 2girls1 Cup, which Cliff still didn't allow in Moshpit).

IMO Moshpit is redundant, NSFW content still has to be labeled so in there like it would be in regular off topic, just super disorganized since there is no sections. I'm this close to saying screw it post NSFW and street racing in off topic and kill Moshpit.

Maybe if people really want there could be a Playpen section or something (rename Off Topic?), where the stricter rules apply for those who want to do Off Topic stuff while at work, etc.

Question: why do we need an image host? Why isn't there a method to simply upload a picture? I assume it has to do with the forum genetics but is there a way around it?

Because images are big and take a lot of room and are server bandwidth intensive for the servers. But with all of that said, we do have an image gallery that you can use, I just hate the layout/interface of it and just use my personal host.

You should not be viewing NSFW content while at work unless your job doesn't care.

If you remove the off topic section, may as well as close the General SR20 section since 90% of the crap posted in there is either off topic or something already answered here or the old forum.

No doubt. Was just curious.

Problem is not NSFW content, it's people embedding it or not properly labeling it. But that applies in all sections. Even when moderating I stay clear of reports/threads that are properly marked so.

No one will remove Off Topic, I am tempted to move Moshpit either to be a subsection of Off Topic, or just get rid of it all together and say that Off Topic Section as a whole is limited moderation.
