feature/option request?
Would it be possible to have the linkback section at the bottom of thread pages collapsed as default?

It is pretty annoying indeed, I'll see what I can find. Though it is fun looking through where your threads get cross-posted on the webs.

which is why i figured if it was collapsed, who ever was interested could expand it to read it.

I'll need to do a manual edit.

Cliff/Vadim/etc., just so you know, the admins/mods see ALL linkbacks, both the confirmed ones and the unconfirmed ones. The regular members only see the confirmed ones. I too think it is nice to see them, however I don't think anyone has been confirming them in a loooooooong time? So there are no new ones for us to see? Can you guys start confirming the legit ones when you see them? Or occasional run the script that confirms all of them?

I can see how they are annoying (when you use the "End" key to skip to the bottom of the thread, you get a huge list of linkbacks instead of being able to see the most recent post. Usually hitting "Page Up" once or twice does the trick to get you back where you want to be, but that gets annoying. Collapsing the list or getting it on a separate page would be an improvement. I'm not freaking out about it though. I don't care one way or another. I know others are not so happy about it.

Linkbacks can now be hidden by the viewer. If I make them hidden by default, the forum may not remember the position of the container, and you may not be able to open/close them.

Here's what I refer to:

vB at this point only saves information on closed boxes to a cookie; so if you reload the page, the box will always be closed, because vB will not remember that it has been opened.

I haven't tested it extensively but it is working for me.

However, the tool tip is in Spanish. It doesn't seem to be honoring the locale? No big deal, just something I noticed.

I removed the tooltip all together.
