Can't edit my own thread titles. (fixed x2)
New thread for this.

The title of the first post changed, but the thread title itself did not.

I recall that used to work even on the older version. I've tried it multiple times on my own threads just now and can not get the renaming text box to show up. You're probably right about it being a permissions issue.

@B15NEOVVL try one of your own threads and report back?

Yep, I've had this problem myself. Wanted to update my ride thread's name...

No dice, Ben. I was not able to get a text box to show up, as per Cliff's instructions. The title of the thread remains different between the forum section and from within the thread itself.

Fix'd. Global setting was restricted to 5 minutes. You shouldn't have any issues editing thread titles now.

Just tried it in the following ways:

1) "Go Advanced" and edit thread title as in the past. No change (not working).
2) Click next to the title to get text box (worked). Edit title and apply with Enter Key, get "progress" GIF animation ( ) but it never goes away. After a long time checked back and thread title still not changed.
3) Tried the above with FF 18 so gave IE9 a try and same exact result.

I am seeing the exact same scenario that you have outlined, Ben. FF 18.xx for me as well.

Oh, and just for completeness, I've tested both methods described in this post, and they both work for me now.

@C-Lawless, which of those two methods are not working for you?
