Thread: Forum Software Upgrade: 16 December 2012 @0800 EST

Folks,

The testing and development for the new site has been mostly successful, so Stephen and I have decided to go live with the new software and modifications.

We will be bringing the site offline for a period of up to 6 hours on Sunday, 16 December 2012. We have chosen Sunday as the forum typically receives less traffic during the morning hours of Sunday. Most if not all of the bugs have been worked out, so we don't anticipate needing an entire 6 hour window to perform the upgrade.

I'll also be sending an e-mail to all users via the forum to inform them of the upcoming downtime for upgrade.

If you have any questions, please contact me as soon as possible so that I have time to answer before the upgrade.

Yay, we movin' on up!!

Probably one of the most kick ass features:

Google adsense customized search. This feature bypasses the forum's built in (broken) search feature, allowing you to search for keywords less than 3 characters in length. Now things like DE, VE, VVL, MAF, DET, etc are all searchable.

Finally! Yeeeaaaahhhhhh!

I actually preferred the old search. Is there any way to bring it back? I liked that I could search in a particular segment of the forums. Like If I wanted to check in just the classifieds I could do that with the advanced search.
