i dont notice anything slower about the site. hell i didnt even notice there was a chat box till someone told me about it

I wonder if they're referring to the chatbox itself that takes a while to load?

i hear pops, but dont see a new message with every pop.

yeah the chat box itself takes a bit to load. Since this new style you put up compared to the first one. The first one loaded quick. This one is just a bit laggy.

I lol'd at the g20 newb jokes too.

Besides that nice little joker coming in calling me out about how is 400hp b14 is gonna smoke me on the chat i havent seen anyone else on there acting a fool.

Yeah well not everyone on the forum has seen your car that looks hacked up actually run the 1/4mi at an amazing speed and trap. Function>Form for damn sure.

oh im pretty sure it was the same dude that was banned before calling me out about how his b14 runs 10.8 and blah blah blah.

And ill be cleaning up the car alot this time around when I get back. Got some nice goodies in store.

Chatbox is still complete shit for me. Can't keep up since it scrolls backwards and makes the entire forum slower.

I just edited your settings and reset your shoutbox.

Do a page refresh and see what happens.

I have resolved the issue. It had nothing to do with the load time on the shoutbox as I am not at all concerned with that. The issue was with every thread I tried to load, regardless of which section of the forum I was in, classifieds, general, off-topic etc. The page would would just take an incredibly long time to load, which slowed down the functionality of scrolling, selecting items to click on, pictures/vids loading etc. It was causing some minor "page freeze" as well at times. It was only on sr20-forum.com.

So, after some research, it turns out that the culprit was "cid.pardot.com". This is a third-party (advertising) tracking cookie used for information gathering for forum advertisers or other-party advertisers (<- makes sense?). My browser would read "trying to find cid.pardot.com" or "connecting to cid.pardot.com" and would switch back and forth between the two, but would take a considerable amount of time to complete. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the shoutbox or not but I only noticed the cid. tracking cookie around the same time of the implementation of the shoutbox. Not sure if coincidence or not?

Anyway, I blocked cid.pardot.com and all of it's off-shots and The Dash now loads every page in a lightning quick fashion!!
