And is the chat box going to be a no holds bar nws place moving forward? If so, it does not need to be front and center on the forum in my opinion. It is getting really bad at certain points of every day

Guys. Suggestion here.

I think there should be a Minimum Post Count set for sr20-forum members in order to use the shoutbox.

For example, Minimum 200 posts on threads in the forum will grant you access to the shoutbox.

Sort of like a probation period, per say.

OptimumSE-R we hear yah. We don't want to exclude anyone or start encouraging useless posting. But we're going to see what we can do.

More people like it than those that dont so just make a thread showing em how to deactivate and let it be..

It isn't about turning it off. In it's current state it is the first thing you will see on your first ever visit. My point is that if we want to keep chat as it is now (fine by me) then we don't need it as our welcome mat.

assuming the only people who can see it...are registered users....i dont think its an issue with being the first thing there...in terms of content discussed in the box..most registered users know the types of things discussed on this forum and guest cant see it therefore the chances of offending someone who doesnt understand our humors or personalities is close to zero
