Thread: SR20-Forum Chat

Folks,

Most of you have likely noticed that there's a shoutbox now available on the homepage.

I've talked with a few of you about some additions/changes you'd be interested in with regards to the mod.

Please put your comments in this thread for me to review at a later time. I will look into your suggestions as I have time this week/weekend.

I like it!!

But from a organizational perspective, place it at the bottom so it does not clutter up the top of our already jam packed page.

Make chat be up at all times not just on home page

I like it, and would use it to get minor details ironed out when selling or buying items rather that PM's since it's pretty much instant and less steps to communicate.

I agree with K (have it up through all windows/pages) and also saw someone mention that it would be cool if we have the ability to turn it off.

make it connect to an IRC server like the other chat did.

I definitely see some benefits to the chat function. Such as quick communication between members, when needed.

I would like for there to be an option for members to open/close the chat box at will, as well as an option to disable it permanently in the user control panel.

Also, maybe an option to pop it out, like in another window kind of thing, not sure what you would call it but basically you would click a button an it would open in another window, but larger. the small chat box is going to really suck when theres more then 5-10 people lol
