Thread: Why does Arkansas always get left out?????

On this and most every other forum, in the "regional" section, it lists all (or at least most) of the states, each under its specific region. Arkansas (AR) never seems to make it into one of these regions! We could go either Southeast, and be with LA, TN, AL, etc., or we could go southwest with TX and OK. I guess it just generally sux to live in Arkansas if you're into cars!!! Woe is me.

Excuse me for digging up an old thread but I was wondering this same exact thing. Thus the search & finding this.

Thanks for bumping this. I've added it to the list of things to fix. Hopefully in the coming months I'll be able to make a serious dent in the backlog of stuff to fix. There are 18 items on the list right now.

Do you think AR belongs in Southeast with AL - GA - KY - LA - MS - NC - SC - TN - WV or in Southwest with AZ - NM - OK - TX?

According to Wikipedia, it probably belongs in Southeast?

I am glad to see this being addressed, though I understand that it isn't a huge issue.

And it does look like you are right in regards to them saying the Southeast, wouldn't have thought that for sure. I would've thought Southwest myself.

Yah, Arkansas is so far from me in SC it might as well be Texas... I was thinking West as well, but I'll put it in East.

Kinda glad you stuck us in the Southwest, seems much closer than the Southeast.
I've been through TN and all the way to the NC coast and that is not a drive I think I'd want to do again. Going through the entire longass state of TN was torture enough lol.

Oh no! I put it in the Southwest? My memory on which region it belongs to was backwards. I should probably move it to Southeast. @MudPuppy I know you said you were glad I put it in the Southwest...

Is there a big issue moving it to the East?

Well I feel the same as you about it feeling like Arkansas might as well be Texas to you.
I am in west-ish Arkansas so Oklahoma & Texas are quite a bit closer.
And that's seems to be the bad thing about Arkansas, it doesn't seem to belong anywhere lol.
Southwest seems to be probably the most logical. Since most of those Southeast states are pretty far away.

Okay well we'll leave it in the Southwest. If some other residents of Arkansas don't like it, they can speak up here.
